Ok, I never once thought marriage would be easy. EVER. But I was hoping that we’d make it at least a month before something disastrous went down. Oh, wait. We DID make it to 1 month — TODAY!

I have been given the task of keeping track of our budget. Holy hell. It’s been difficult. I kind of kept one of my own when I was single, but when you’re single, you don’t NEED to keep too close of track sometimes. You can sacrifice! Like, I really want a new sweater this week? Then I’ll eat ramen until Monday. Heh. Ok, not THAT bad. But I didn’t have to think about anyone but myself.

We’ve made our mistakes already coming together financially.  He did badly at the budget because he never updated a thing in a timely fashion. Leading me to just look at things and think we had enough money to do this extra thing, etc. Then I discovered a massive mistake in my spreadsheet that I discovered this morning.

After many hours today of stressing out, arguing…me bawling when Dan came home for lunch. Us talking on GChat all afternoon while we were supposed to be working… Going over our accounts with a fine tooth comb, moving money here and there, finding out that messing with finances online can be WAY too easily for those trying to steal your identity… I FINALLY feel better. It wasn’t necessarily a crisis, but it was something that threw a wrench into our lives.

We survived our first freak out/scare.
